Cincinnati Museum Center hosts Bark Bash Feb. 22

Dog treats, panel discussion and service dogs highlight event inspired by 超级大国的狗

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has gone to the dogs. CMC is hosting a Bark Bash, an event inspired by the incredible canines of the OMNIMAX® 电影 超级大国的狗. The Bark Bash will feature dog treat and craft stations, 小组讨论, mascot appearances and plenty of service dog visits to celebrate our furry four-legged friends from 11 a.m. 到3点.m.2月22日,星期六.

Pick up a Paw Passport for a chance to win prizes as you visit the following groups throughout the day:

  • Brewhaus面包店 & Dogs Bones will have a treat station so you can take home something special for your best friend (while supplies last).
  • 红狗宠物度假村 & Spa’s mascot will also be available for selfies and belly rubs.
  • Circle Tail and 4 Paws for Ability will be bringing service dogs. Circle Tail provides service dogs to persons with disabilities at no charge to the individual. 4 Paws for Ability provides service dogs for children with disabilities, veterans and adults with hearing loss, 糖尿病和老年痴呆症.
  • The Matt Haverkamp Foundation and the Blue Line K9 Project will share information about their missions to provide canines and protective vests for law enforcement agencies.

Participants on the panel include Karen Shirk and her service dog Aiko from 4 Paws for Ability, child psychiatrist Larry Graham, psychiatrist Mina Lockey and forensic psychiatrist Janell Lundgren.

Guests can also visit the OMNIMAX® Theater for hourly showings of 超级大国的狗, a tail-wagging journey around the globe that introduces audiences to dogs who change lives. The 电影 features the extraordinary science behind the super powers of dogs who track poachers in Africa, participate in water rescues in Italy, dig through the snow for avalanche survivors in British Columbia, surf the waves off California with individuals with special needs and scramble through rubble of urban environments with one of America’s most elite disaster response teams.
